In this issue of Resolution we are using a 'Before & After' approach to showcase 3 very recent photographic assignments in the studio and on location; each photo has had a huge impact on both the personal and business profiles of our clients. As the line between personal and business image becomes ever more blurred we ask:

Is 'Good Enough' Really Good Enough?

The upwardly spiraling growth in social media platforms and micro-blogging websites is causing more businesses to look again at personal image. From LinkedIn to Twitter, dodgy looking images of members of staff are being turned into avatars and are putting across the wrong corporate image.

Here's the first example of an image that was thought to be good enough, I hasten to add the small photo is not ours! We shot this image directly after a presentation to Network Luton on How to Improve Your Image. The presentation looked at the subject of body language and self confidence with practical demonstrations, helping participants to feel better posing in front of the camera - the change in people in a short space of time was amazing.

This businessman immediately changed his avatar after a short studio session with us so that his client contacts (and his wife) would know what a handsome man he really is! This experience was shared by many Members of the networking group and now many are proud to have a DWPi image for their social networking sites.

"Awesome" Stand-out Interiors

How does one photograph an unfurnished property and make it look edgy, modern and homely? Its a brief that comes with the territory, and that is why our clients use us. You can appreciate that the client (in this case a property developer) had taken some of his own pictures (left image) yet these are nowhere near good enough to sell the property. DWPi not only set out to meet the brief but added the WOW factor as well. How did the client react to our pictures? "Bloody awesome!"

A New Angle on the Packaging Shot

We all take it for granted that packaging is part of our everyday lives. How do you portray a solid coffee cup and make it look sexy whilst not losing any detail of the translucent plastic cups? The 'before' image to the left is pedestrian and typically safe and that's just not good enough. Our image looks stunning, clean, modern and full of impact; one image made from a combination of 3 shots, the result was hot and ready to go in the blink of a DWP eye!
